We have an incredible day in store for you! We will chill on the Chestatee River enjoying sweet fellowship and God’s amazing creation. After our kayaking trip, we will get some tasty lunch! This is a great way to spend a warm summer Saturday morning. The river is very secluded and there are all kinds of wildlife that roam the scenic riverbanks. FIRST TIMERS: If you are worried about fast waters, do not worry as this is a very slow meandering river. This is a Class 0 river and many first-time kayakers have done this section without any problem, but if you need more information, contact William Illg. RENTAL COST: Single Kayak $29.95 includes shuttle. PLEASE NOTE: Pay when you get there! This registration lets us know if you are renting a kayak or if you are bringing your own kayak. Change of clothes for after, Modest swimsuit, sneakers or sandals you can get wet, for walking in water on rocks. Water/Gatorade, snacks, sunblock, sunglasses with strap. Outfitter has gear, helmets, life jackets. KEEP IN MIND: that there are always dangerous elements when out in nature: Water hazards, cliffs, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, sharp objects, falling limbs or rocks, Brier Bush, Poison Ivy, Poison Oak, Poison Sumac, etc. Clothes may get muddy or wet. The woods are your bathroom. WAIVER: By attending, each person assumes all responsibility and liability for themselves and their actions and hereby releases Echo Ministries, its employees, directors, officers, agents, and volunteers from any and all liability resulting from any loss, injury, illness (including Coronavirus), damages, or death, while attending, participating or volunteering in this event.
