Join us for an unforgettable day of hiking in the stunning Highlands of North Carolina, where scenic vistas and majestic waterfalls create the perfect backdrop for meaningful fellowship and spiritual renewal. Imagine standing atop a mountain, the panoramic views stretching out before you, or feeling the mist of a cascading waterfall as you marvel at the intricate beauty of God’s natural wonders. Our hikes are designed to foster genuine connections among like-minded Christian singles. WEATHER PERMITTING: minor showers - it's on, all day rain – we’re off. TIME: 11am to 6:00pm (ish) with dinner. HIKE DIFFICULTY: D3+, (Several hikes totaling approximately 5 miles) Hiking Rating Scale: D3 Moderate (a cardio workout) mountainous, some steep TRAILHEAD LOCATION: Multiple locations in the Highlands area. ROADS: We will be on extremely curvy roads so if you are prone to car-sickness, you may want to pass on this trip. DEVOTIONAL: We will do a short devotional at one of the sites. DINNER: TBD WHAT TO BRING: Water, snacks & a wonderful attitude! *NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE GOOD TREAD on your shoes/boots or you will be on the ground a lot! Maybe bring 2 pairs of shoes in case the trails are muddy. Optional Things to Bring: Hiking Poles PLEASE NOTE: This is a single adult only event. Also, please do not bring pets or animals. CARPOOL MEETPOINTS: Please arrive ready to go with stomachs filled, cars gased, and bladders empty. ***Carpooling is encouraged, but not required. ***MUST READ: These are set up as a convenience, therefore we do not know who will be at each location. You do not need to drive to other meet points except the final in Clayton. • DAWSONVILLE: Meet at PUBLIX in outer lot by Chili's. Look for people in cars. Meet at 9:25am, leave 9:30am sharp. • OAKWOOD. Meet in outer parking lot of Goodwill – 3715 Mundy Mill Road. Be there at 9:45am, leave 9:50am sharp. Look for folks in cars. FINAL MEETPOINT AND MEET AND GREET: Ingles in Clayton ADDRESS: 176 Hwy 441 Clayton, GA 30525 – We will meet in the outer parking lot! Look for a white Chevy Avalanche. KEEP IN MIND: There are always dangerous and unforeseen elements when out in nature: Cliffs, water hazards, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Trails may be un-maintained or non-existent, slippery, rocky, icy and have steep embankments. Shoes and clothing may get muddy or wet. The woods are your bathroom.
