We will be venturing to a beautiful campground on Lake Blue Ridge called Morganton Campground. ALL FOOD/SNACKS/DRINKS (included in your cost and subject to change): Friday Dinner – Greg’s World-Famous Chili with Mac & Cheese Saturday Breakfast – French Toast with Bacon and Berry Salad • Lunch – chicken salad croissants with chips and all the fix'ins, snacks • Dinner – BBQ with baked beans and coleslaw. Sunday • Breakfast - cereal, fruit, oatmeal and grits HIKING LEVEL: D2 – D3 AVG TEMPS: Day 55-70, Night 47-60 ATTIRE: Cooler weather clothes, Jacket/coat/gloves/warm hat and long johns, rain-coat, 2 pairs of shoes in case one gets wet. WHAT ELSE TO BRING: Sleeping bag, pad, extra blanket, pillow, flashlight, jacket, rain-coat, daypack, towel, toiletries, camera, Bible, camp chair. Optional things: Hiking poles. If you need any of these, just let us know. TENT INFO: You may bring your own personal sized tent if you wish; however, if it is a larger tent, you will have to put someone else in it with you. BATHROOMS: Warm showers and running water. WOOHOO!!! AGENDA: Hiking to remarkable scenery, and to waterfalls each day, facilitated connecting, campfire worship music, roasting marshmallows, challenging devotionals, and much relaxation and hanging out. CAMPGROUND: We have several sites on the peninsula and along the shoreline. CARPOOLING: We will send out a carpool email around a week to 10 days prior to the trip to help coordinate carpooling. KEEP IN MIND: that there are always dangerous elements when out in nature: Waterfalls, cliffs, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Trails may be un-maintained, slippery, icy, rocky and have steep embankments. Shoes may get muddy or wet. Many times the woods are your only bathroom. WAIVER: By attending, each person assumes all responsibility and liability for themselves and their actions and hereby releases Echo Ministries, its employees, directors, officers, agents, and volunteers from any and all liability resulting from any loss, injury, illness, damages, or death, while attending, participating or volunteering in this event. If you make payment for someone else, make sure that they receive this information and they understand and agree to all aspects of it, otherwise you’re responsible for them.
