Then, if you don't mind getting a little muddy, with a little bit of an obstacle course, then this hike is sure to deliver amazing rewards! DESTINATION: We will be in the Hollywood/Tallulah Falls area. So join us for a day of awe-inspiring scenery, good exercise, fun and great fellowship as we get out and explore God’s incredible creation. Short Devotional will be on trail. HIKE DIFFICULTY D3+ with agility (some off trail with steep embankments) hike (4.5 miles total) Driving to several locations. For your sake and the sake of the group, please do not assume beyond your ability. Hike difficulty rating scale D1 Easy (beginner hikers) flat terrain D2 Easy to moderate (regular hikers) some hills D3 Moderate (a cardio workout) very hilly D4 Moderate to strenuous (challenging workout) steep inclines, moderate distance D5 Strenuous (serious physical challenge) Steep inclines and long distance ROAD & TRAIL DESCRIPTIONS: You can carpool at our final meet-point if you baby your vehicle or have low clearance, for we will be on dirt roads. You will get a cardio workout on the hills, some places have no trails and we'll be doing some ducking and climbing over downed trees. TIME: 10:30am to 2:30pm (ish) Back to Walmart, eating thereafter. WHAT TO BRING: Dress in layers in case it’s colder or warmer. Rain gear, camera, plenty of water, Lunch/snacks, Day-pack to carry your stuff. It may be a good idea to bring some snacks, just in case. SHOES WITH GOOD TREAD ARE A MUST! Or you will be on your butt a lot, lol! Waterproof hiking boots are best. KEEP IN MIND: that there are always dangerous and unforeseen elements when out in nature: Cliffs, water hazards, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Roads conditions may be very curvy, bumpy, gravel and muddy. Trails may be un-maintained, slippery, icy, rocky and have steep embankments. Shoes and clothing may get muddy or wet. The woods are your bathroom.
