We are going back to one of our favorite places in Tennessee, Fall Creek Falls. For those who have been there, you know how EPIC it is – but now, we’ve decided to go at a time of year that we’ve never been: autumn’s peak leaves. Are you ready for an amazing, jaw-dropping adventure to epic scenery that will ABSOLUTELY knock your socks off?!? Add in the stunning colors of fall and the crisp air coming off the gorgeous waterfalls! You definitely don’t want to miss-out on this breathtaking and spiritually fulfilling adventure! We have reserved a gigantic Bunkhouse in Fall Creek Falls which is one of the most amazing State Parks! This beautiful park encompasses a monumental 26,000 acres with some of the most dramatic waterfalls and unique formations in the country! The spectacular 256-foot Fall Creek Falls is the highest free-falling waterfall east of the Mississippi River. So, join us and prepare to be WOWed by some of God's incredible treasures!!! So come join us for an incredible time of fun and fellowship while soaking up God’s amazing wonders. (WE ARE ON RAIN OR SHINE) TO CREATE A BETTER ENVIRONMENT FOR SLEEPING: We realize in a bunkhouse venue, where many people are sleeping in close quarters, snoring is inevitable; therefore, Echo will bring box fans as well as purchasing soothing white-noise machines to enhance your sleeping environment. Also, you can download apps for white noise straight to your phone. As always, we have ear plugs available. WHEN: October 25th – October 27th 2024 SPOTS ARE LIMITED AND MAY GO QUICKLY COST: (includes two nights stay, all meals, snacks and drinks) Top Bunk: Only $129.95 Bottom Bunk: Only $159.95 OTHER accommodations: You are always more than welcome to stay anywhere you’d like and participate with the group, but you must register and pay the fee at the link below! If a refund is requested, we can refund prior to the deadline. HIKING LEVEL: D2-D3 Depending on trail/ Moderate with occasional Steep inclines. Hiking rain or shine. FOOD (included in your cost): Subject to change. Friday • Dinner- Creamy Chicken Wild Rice Soup with Grilled Cheese and Salad. Saturday • Breakfast- Scrambled Eggs and Bacon with Biscuits and Gravy • Lunch-Meatball Subs and chips, snacks • Dinner- Pasta Night with Marinara and Fettuccini Alfredo Sunday • Breakfast-Cereal, Oatmeal, and Grits with yogurt parfaits and hardboiled eggs AGENDA: Hiking to remarkable scenery each day, facilitated connecting, worship music, challenging devotional, playing games. GEAR TO BRING: Your own linens or a Sleeping Bag, Pillow, towel, toiletries, camera, Bible, daypack, camp chair. *If you need any of these, just let us know. ATTIRE: Rain coat, 2 pairs of shoes in case one gets wet, shorts and long pants, BATHROOMS: Yes ladies, we have warm showers! Woohoo! CARPOOLING: We will send out an email to all on the roster 10 days before we leave so everyone can secure carpooling. Most people just leave cars at people’s houses. ADDRESS TO BUNKHOUSE: Address will not show up on GPS, so type these coordinates exactly: 35.6413, -85.3482. (Please make sure there is a space between the comma and dash). We are in Newton Ford Bunkhouse off of SR-284 a quarter mile from the Chinquapin Mountain Bike Trail. Be sure to look for maps and signs whenever you enter the park. IF LOST PLEASE CALL before 5pm: 423-881-5298. Please make sure not to arrive after 9:30pm on Friday evening. KEEP IN MIND: that there are always dangerous elements when out in nature: Cliffs, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Trails may be un-maintained, slippery, icy, rocky and have steep embankments. Shoes may get muddy or wet. When hiking, many times the woods are your only bathroom. WAIVER: By attending, each person assumes all responsibility and liability for themselves and their actions and hereby releases Echo Ministries, its employees, directors, officers, agents, and volunteers from any and all liability resulting from any loss, injury, illness, damages, or death, while attending, participating or volunteering in this event.
