Hey Kayakers! What better way to enjoy the dog-days of summer than with a little outdoor excitement and cool-water fun on the upper Chattahoochee River. We will be doing Section 3 outside Cleveland from the 115 Bridge to down to Duncan Bridge known as the whitewater section. This trip takes approximately 3 hours and depending on water levels it contains many class 2 and 3 rapids, WOOHOO!!! FIRST TIME: Many beginners have had their initiation on this section, but if you need more information, please contact the Outfitter at (706)865-4451 http://wildwoodoutfitters.com/ RENTAL COST: Sit on Top Kayak $49 Per Person. SHUTTLE FEE: If you have your own Kayak, shuttle fee is $10 **Please do not bring a sit-in kayak unless you have and know how to use a skirt. If you do not have and know how to use your skirt, you will be miserable because you will get gallons of water in your kayak… slowing you and the entire group down. That is why we recommend sit-on-top kayaks which are self-bailing. RESERVATION INFORMATION: If you are going on this trip, you MUST call Wildwood Outfitters and let them know!! Please tell them two things: that you are going with Echo Ministries and if you need a kayak to rent or not. If you do not call to reserve a kayak, there may not be any left!! PLEASE NOTE: YOU DO NOT PAY UNTIL YOU ARRIVE ON SATURDAY! They just need an accurate headcount to make sure all of us get a rental! Call between the hours of 9am - 5pm ASAP!! DATE: August 3rd 2024 TIME: 10am to 1:30pm with lunch afterwards (you may want to bring some snacks for the river).
