(MORE GOING THAN SHOWING -- EVENT IS CROSS-POSTED) Hey Trailblazers! What better way to spend a Saturday than with seeing some jaw-dropping, blockbuster, absolutely amazing scenery that the Lord has provided! We will be hiking to several newly rediscovered waterfalls east of Cornelia. Some agility is needed for this one as we will be rock hoping some creeks, climbing over some obstacles, and scrambling down some steep banks, but it will be so worth it!!!   *If you’re unsure whether this hike meets your abilities, call Greg*   Join us for a day of awe-inspiring scenery, good exercise and great fellowship as we get out and explore God’s incredible creation.   WEATHER PERMITTING: showers, it's off. TIME: 10:30am to 4:00pm (ish) with dinner.   HIKE DIFFICULTY: D3+, (Total 4.5 mile hike – make sure to see above for description) Hiking Rating Scale: D3 Moderate (a cardio workout) mountainous, some steep TRAILHEAD LOCATION: Multiple locations inside the Lake Russell Wildlife Management Area outside Cornelia. ROADS: We will be on gravel roads for several miles. So, if you baby your car or have really low clearance, jump in with someone else at the final meet-point.   DEVOTIONAL: We will do a short devotional at one of the falls. DINNER: Mexican in Cornelia WHAT TO BRING: Water & a wonderful attitude! *NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE GOOD TREAD on your shoes/boots or you will be on the ground a lot! Maybe bring 2 pairs of shoes if 1 gets wet.* Optional Things to Bring: Hiking Poles   PLEASE NOTE: This is a single adult only event. Also, please do not bring pets or animals.   CARPOOL MEETPOINTS: Please arrive ready to go with stomachs filled, cars gased, and bladders empty. ***Carpooling is encouraged, but not required. ***MUST READ: These are set up as a convenience, therefore we do not know who will be at each location. You do not need to drive to other meet points except the final in Cornelia. • DAWSONVILLE: Meet at PUBLIX in outer lot by Chili's. Look for people in cars. Meet at 8:55am, leave 9am sharp. • OAKWOOD. Meet in outer parking lot of Goodwill – 3715 Mundy Mill Road. Be there at 9:15am. Look for folks in cars. FINAL MEETPOINT AND MEET AND GREET: Meet 10:00am at the Walmart in Cornelia in the outer parking lot near Chick-fil-A ADDRESS: 250 Furniture Dr. Cornelia, Ga.   KEEP IN MIND: There are always dangerous and unforeseen elements when out in nature: Cliffs, water hazards, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Trails may be un-maintained or non-existent, slippery, rocky, icy and have steep embankments. Shoes and clothing may get muddy or wet.
