If you have any interest in experiencing mind-blowing scenery as well as journeying to the center of the Earth then make your plans to join us for this EPIC adventure! We are venturing into the most stunning and remarkable cavern in the United States. Add in some of the most spectacular waterfalls, and this may be the perfect recipe for Echo’s Best Retreat!! You’ve been asking for it – and here it is! We will be staying in 10 gorgeous cabins on a private peninsula jetting out into beautiful Lake Guntersville in Alabama! Each cabin comes with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a common area and a fully equipped kitchen. In addition, we have also rented a large outside pavilion located in the center of it all. Each night, we will be watching the magnificent sun set over the beautiful lake and finish the night off with some campfire worship. WooHoo! FOOD (included in your cost & subject to change): Friday • Lunch - On Your Own • Dinner – Pasta Bar! Saturday • Breakfast – Gourmet Pancakes with sausage • Lunch – Meatball subs with all the fix'ins, snacks • Dinner- Rotisserie chicken with mac & cheese and green beans. Sunday • Breakfast-Cereal, Oatmeal, Fruit and Yogurt AGENDA: Hiking to remarkable scenery each day or relaxing by the lake, kayaking/ canoeing, floating on a tube, paddle board (bring your own), facilitated connecting, worship music, challenging devotional, playing cards or board games. GEAR TO BRING: Your own linens or a Sleeping Bag, Pillow, towel, toiletries, camera, Bible, daypack, camp chair. *If you need any of these, just let us know. ATTIRE: Light rain coat, 2 pairs of shoes in case one gets wet, shorts – it is sure to be warm, modest swimsuit if you want to go in. BATHROOMS: Each cabin has two bathrooms! CARPOOLING: Best to coordinate ahead of time about when you are going. You can post on FB event wall for others to see, or wait till the week before we'll send out an email to all those on the roster. Most people just leave cars at peoples houses. ADDRESS: Lake Guntersville State Park – 432 Aubrey Carr Scenic Drive, Lake Guntersville, AL KEEP IN MIND: that there are always dangerous elements when out in nature: Cliffs, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Trails may be un-maintained, slippery, icy, rocky and have steep embankments. Shoes may get muddy or wet. When hiking, many times the woods are your only bathroom. WAIVER: By attending, each person assumes all responsibility and liability for themselves and their actions and hereby releases Echo Ministries, its employees, directors, officers, agents, and volunteers from any and all liability resulting from any loss, injury, illness, damages, or death, while attending, participating or volunteering in this event.
