Hello Westside Hikers! It’s time once again to get out and explore God’s incredible creation together. Love to have you join us for a day of awe-inspiring scenery, good exercise and great fellowship. TRAIL DESCRIPTION: This is a truly beautiful 3-mile loop hike in the Sope Creek Recreational Area in East Cobb. We will travel through an old growth forest finishing along the beautiful Sope Creek and the old Paper Mill ruins. NEW TO ECHO: If this is your first Echo event, we are so excited to meet you! You will be greeted with open arms and feel right at home. This is the perfect event to meet tons of singles and get connected to an authentic community. Weather Permitting: All day rain, it’s off, showers it’s on. HIKE DIFFICULTY: D2 D1 Easy (beginner hikers) Flat D2 Easy to moderate (regular hikers) some hills D3 Moderate (a cardio workout) D4 Moderate to strenuous (challenging workout) D5 Strenuous (serious physical challenge) TIME: 10:00am - 12:30pm ADDRESS OF MEET & GREET: Due to very limited parking at the trailhead, we will meet at the parking lot outside of Moxie Burger where we will have lunch. Look for a group of people gathering. We will organize carpool to help minimize the number of cars at the trailhead. 255 Paper Mill Village, Marietta, GA 30067 WHAT TO BRING: Water, rain jacket, camera, shoes with good tread. WHAT NOT TO BRING: Children or Pets. PARKING FEE AT TRAILHEAD: $5 fee. KEEP IN MIND: that there are always dangerous and unforeseen elements when out in nature: Cliffs, water hazards, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Trails may be un-maintained, slippery, icy, rocky and have steep embankments. Shoes and clothing may get muddy or wet. The woods are your bathroom.
