Hello Eastside Hikers! Come with us as we venture into the beautiful Chattahoochee National Forest outside of Helen to the amazing and gigantic Duke’s Creek Falls. This is a gorgeous 2.5-mile trail. Thankfully, we can expect milder temperatures since we are in the mountains and in the shade! It’s time once again to get out and explore God’s incredible creation together. You will be greeted with open arms and feel right at home. This is the perfect event to meet tons of singles and get connected to an authentic community. Weather Permitting: All day rain, it’s off, showers it’s on. HIKE DIFFICULTY: D2 D1 Easy (beginner hikers) Flat D2 Easy to moderate (regular hikers) some hills D3 Moderate (a cardio workout) D4 Moderate to strenuous (challenging workout) D5 Strenuous (serious physical challenge) TIME: 10:00am - 12:30pm ADDRESS: Mile Marker 2 on Richard Russell Scenic Parkway. SPECIAL NOTE: Certain GPS apps will take you to Dick’s Creek Road in Lumpkin County! DO NOT GO THERE. You need to look for Dukes Creek Falls Trail outside of Helen on Richard Russell Scenic Highway LUNCH: El Campesino - 17 Campbell Street, Cleveland, GA 30528 WHAT TO BRING: Water, rain jacket, camera, shoes with good tread. WHAT NOT TO BRING: Children or Pets. PARKING FEE AT TRAILHEAD: $4 fee. KEEP IN MIND: that there are always dangerous and unforeseen elements when out in nature: Cliffs, water hazards, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Trails may be un-maintained, slippery, icy, rocky and have steep embankments. Shoes and clothing may get muddy or wet. The woods are your bathroom.
