Sweetwater Creek State Park is a peaceful tract of wilderness only minutes from downtown Atlanta. A beautiful, wooded trail follows the stream to the ruins of the New Manchester Manufacturing Company, a textile mill burned during the Civil War. Beyond the mill, the trail climbs rocky bluffs to provide views of the powerful rapids below. Additional trails wind through fields and forest, showcasing ferns, magnolias, wild azaleas and hardwoods. *If you’ve never been to an Echo event, this is the perfect time to come! You will definitely meet other first-timers and leave feeling encouraged and connected* This will be an easy hike with a difficulty level of D2 with a distance of 3 miles. For your sake and the sake of the group, please do not assume beyond your ability. Shoes and clothing may get muddy or wet. The woods are your bathroom.
