These beautiful maritime beaches are unlike those of any other coastal destination. With 10 miles of grand, unspoiled shoreline and a variety of amenities, you’ll find the perfect place to relax and refresh, to worship and wonder and allow your senses to soak up God’s incredibly majestic creation. The scenic driftwood beach is a photographer’s dreamland. The sensational sunrises and sunsets make for incredibly memorable quiet-times with the Lord, the creator of it all. The marshes are teeming with wildlife and live oak trees are draped in Spanish moss which leave you with an awe-inspiring sense of wonder. NEW TO ECHO: Now if you are thinking, “I don’t know anyone and this could be awkward”, I promise you, we will welcome you with open arms, and you will leave the weekend knowing almost everyone and feeling exceedingly blessed. WHEN: Friday, April 22nd – Sunday, April 24th. (We are offering a self-sustained Thursday for those who want to stay an extra night). (On rain or shine). COST: $229.95 per person (includes 3-day, 2-night stay with select meals, snacks and drinks) ADDITIONAL DAY: $29.95 (come a day early on April 21st and enjoy Self-Sustained Thursday) REGISTRATION LINK: You are only confirmed after payment is received. We can assist in helping to sell your spot, but we are not responsible to do so. CARPOOLING: We will send an email the week before to coordinate carpooling. We don’t want anyone driving alone! Only two cars are allowed per campsite, so if you don’t carpool, you will have to park a half mile from the site. ADDITIONAL COSTS: • Fuel for your driver. Split the fuel costs for the person you’re carpooling with. They will use a total of 2 tanks of gas to get down and back. • Parking: The island fee is $8/vehicle. So make sure to help your driver! • For those coming Thursday: you are responsible for all your food that day. For those arriving Friday, we will go to a restaurant together at your own expense. AGENDA: Relaxing, swimming, hiking, biking, organized connecting, worship music, devotional, camp-fires, star gazing, sunrise and sunset watching, just plain fun and relaxation with great fellowship. SCHEDULE: Make sure to arrive no later than 9pm. If you’re arriving, Thursday – no earlier than 3:30pm. Trolly Tour (Historic Jekyll) Saturday, April 23rd – 3:30pm. Dinner on Saturday will be at the campground and is included in your price. TENTS: Large tents only! Because you will have to share a tent with at least one other person. If you don’t have a tent, let us know and we will reserve a spot for you in one! BIKING: Easy to Moderate (level ground but may have distance). We are renting some bikes to share, but feel free to bring your own! There are over 20 miles of biking trails! TEMPS to prepare for: Day 70-80, Night 60-75 FOOD MENU: (subject to change) •Thursday – Lunch on your way down (none provided): Dinner- at a restaurant, not covered in price. • Friday Breakfast- Assorted Cereal and fruit, Grits and Oatmeal, Lunch - Sandwiches with all the fix’ins with snacks: Dinner – at a restaurant, not covered in price. • Saturday – Pancakes and Bacon - Sandwiches with all the fix’ins with snacks. Dinner – Build your own Burrito’s beans and rice. Sunday - Assorted cereals and fruit with Grits and Oatmeal. We will also provide coffee, tea, hot chocolate, orange Juice, soft drinks, water, fruit, chips and cookies. GEAR: Day Pack is a must, Sleeping Bag, Pad, Pillow, Jacket, Raingear, Hiking footwear, Sunglasses, Long Pants, Shorts, Modest swimsuit, towel, Long and Short Sleeves, Toiletries, Sunblock, Bug-repellant, Camera, Bible. WHAT NOT TO BRING: Alcohol, cigarettes, a bad attitude and your own agenda BATHROOMS: There are bathrooms with warm water showers. KEEP IN MIND: There are always dangerous and unforeseen elements when out in nature: Cliffs, water hazards, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Trails may be un-maintained, slippery, rocky, icy and have steep embankments. Shoes and clothing may get muddy or wet. The woods are your bathroom. WAIVER: By attending, each person assumes all responsibility and liability for themselves and their actions and hereby releases Echo Ministries, its employees, directors, officers, agents, and volunteers from any and all liability resulting from any loss, injury, illness, damages, or death, while attending, participating or volunteering in this event.
