April’s Light Hike will be to the beautiful Rhodes Jordan Park in Lawrenceville! This will be an easy 2.5 mile walk to a jewel in Gwinnett County. This 162-acre park has a gorgeous wide-trail around the lake which we will explore together. This will be an easy hike with a difficulty level of D-1 with a distance of 2.5 miles Hiking Rating Scale: D-2 Hike Difficulty D1 Easy (beginner hikers) mostly flat D2 Easy to moderate (regular hikers) some hills D3 Moderate (a cardio workout) mountainous D4 Moderate to strenuous (challenging workout) Steep grades/agility D5 Strenuous (serious physical challenge) Very steep and far DATE: April 9th 2022 TIME: 9:30am – 11:30am ADDRESS: The GPS address is 10 Water Works Road Lawrenceville, GA 30046 *Meet at the parking lot below the dam* WHAT TO BRING: Small Day Pack to carry your gear- rain jacket, camera, water, snacks, etc. Optional Things to Bring: Bible, Hiking Poles, First-Aid Kit, GPS. No children or animals please. LUNCH: Jason’s Deli - 918 Duluth Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA Always non-alcoholic and will be at 11:30am. KEEP IN MIND: There are always dangerous and unforeseen elements when out in nature: Cliffs, water hazards, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Trails may be un-maintained, slippery, rocky, icy and have steep embankments. Shoes and clothing may get muddy or wet. The woods are your bathroom.
