Trailblazer Hike to Kennesaw Mountain Overlook via West and East Trails If you want to fully enjoy and explore the historic Kennesaw Mountain, then join us for this amazing hike. This is a 5-mile, loop trail near Marietta, Georgia. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 hours 42 minutes to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking and trail running, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. If you’ve ever wanted a great way to meet a great bunch of singles, well this is the best way. So come join us for an incredible time of fun and fellowship while soaking up God’s amazing wonders. HIKE DIFFICULTY: D3+ (5-mile hike) For your sake and the sake of the group, please do not assume beyond your ability. Hiking Rating Scale: D1 Easy (beginner hikers) mostly flat D2 Easy to moderate (regular hikers) some hills D3 Moderate (a cardio workout) mountainous D4 Moderate to strenuous (challenging workout) Steep grades/agility D5 Strenuous (serious physical challenge) Very steep and far DATE: Sunday, March 27, 2022 TIME: 2pm – 6pm ADDRESS: Kennesaw Mountain Visitor Center, 900 Kennesaw Mountain Dr, Kennesaw, GA 30152 SPECIAL NOTE: If the Visitor Center parking lot is full, there is overflow parking about 1/4 mile north on Old US 41. We will try to shuttle hikers from the overflow parking. There is a $5 parking for entry to the park. You can also purchase a park specific annual pass for $40. DINNER: After hike at Come-N-Get It 1409 Church Street Ext NW, Marietta, GA 30060 WHAT TO BRING: Water, rain jacket (something to keep you warm), gloves, camera, shoes with good tread. What NOT to bring: Animals and Children PLEASE NOTE: Alcohol is not permitted at Echo events. All events are for legally single adults KEEP IN MIND: There are always dangerous and unforeseen elements when out in nature: Cliffs, water hazards, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Trails may be un-maintained, slippery, rocky, icy and have steep embankments. Shoes and clothing may get muddy or wet. The woods are your bathroom.
