Trailblazer Hike to Cowrock Mt

Yeah Buddy!!! It's time to get out of the city stress and into God's majestic Appalachian Mountains! We will be venturing up the beautiful Cowrock Mt to experience the jaw-dropping, heavenly view! So join us for a day of awe-inspiring scenery, good exercise, fun and great fellowship as we get out and explore God’s incredible creation. We will do a short devotional at the summit. WEATHER PERMITTING: Call if not sure. 770-316-9200 ADDRESS of MEET & GREET and CARPOOL: Ingles 55 Helen Hwy Cleveland. Look for White Chevy Avalanche north of the gas pumps. TIME: 2pm at Ingles in Cleveland. PLEASE NOTE: This is a single adult event. Also, please do not bring pets or animals. TRAIL DESCRIPTION AND DIFFICULTY: D3-D4 - It's like doing Stone Mt, except steeper. 2.5 miles roundtrip. It's so worth the view!!! Hike difficulty rating scale: D1 Easy (beginner hikers) flat terrain D2 Easy to moderate (regular hikers) some hills D3 Moderate (a cardio workout) very hilly D4 Moderate to strenuous (challenging workout) steep inclines, moderate distance D5 Strenuous (serious physical challenge) Steep inclines and long distance TIME: 2PM - 6PM PREPARE!!! WHAT TO BRING: Dress in Layers, hat and gloves, rain gear, camera, water *Shoes with good tread a must! DINNER: Dinner at El Campasino in Cleveland KEEP IN MIND: that there are always dangerous and unforeseen elements when out in nature: Cliffs, water hazards, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Roads conditions may be very curvy, bumpy, gravel and muddy. Trails may be un-maintained, slippery, icy, rocky and have steep embankments. Shoes and clothing may get muddy or wet. The woods are your bathroom.
