Get ready for a state-of-the-art, multimillion-dollar facility built last year featuring two amazing air-conditioned bunkhouses with a private amphitheater, restaurant and conservation hall. Have I said, this is the TRIP OF THE YEAR?!? This park features THREE tranquil lakes with over 28 miles of hiking and biking trails – where we can rent: kayaks, paddle boards and segways. We will have OVER two miles of private sugary-white quartz-grain sand beaches to call our own. Imagine with me for a moment… setting up your lounge chair, opening up your Bible with your toes in the sand… overlooking the turquoise water and having your quiet-time while watching the beauty of one of God’s spectacular sunrises or sunsets over the ocean… now add the tranquil sounds of the rolling waves and the fresh aroma of the salty air. Yeah boy! This could potentially be a life changing experience! NEW TO ECHO: Now if you are thinking, “I don’t know anyone and this could be awkward”, I promise you, we will welcome you with open arms, and you will leave the weekend knowing almost everyone and feeling exceedingly blessed. So come join us for an incredible time of fun and fellowship while soaking up God’s amazing wonders. Amenities include: There are too many amenities to include, but we will try our best! Let’s start with volleyball net, FREE use of bicycles, covered pavilions, golf course, butterfly garden, warm showers, big dining hall, and a beautiful amphitheater for worship. Each bunkhouse is equipped with AC so you do not have to worry about being hot!!! (WE ARE ON RAIN OR SHINE) WHEN: September 4th 2020 – September 7th 2020 SPOTS ARE VERY LIMITED AND MAY GO QUICKLY COST: $179.95 This cost includes: four days, three nights in a bunkhouse with all meals, snacks and drinks… including a sit-down dinner on our last night at the Woodside Restaurant. Unfortunately, last minute cancellations are very difficult to refill. If a refund is requested, we can refund prior to the deadline. HIKING LEVEL: D1-D2 Depending on trail/flat oceanfront hiking. Hiking rain or shine. FOOD (included in your cost): Subject to change. Friday • Dinner - Chili mac and cheese. Saturday • Breakfast - Bacon, eggs and grits • Lunch -Sandwich meat with all the fix'ins • Dinner- design your own Burritos, snacks. Sunday • Breakfast - Pancakes • Lunch -Sandwich meat with all the fix'ins, snacks • Dinner – Plated Dinner at Woodside Restaurant! Monday • Breakfast -Cereal AGENDA: Biking to remarkable scenery each day or relaxing by the ocean, cornhole, Friday night volleyball, facilitated connecting, stargazing, worship music, challenging devotionals, movie-night, playing cards or board games and enjoying God’s creation! Also, we will have a couple of excursions around the area to interesting sights! GEAR TO BRING: Your own linens or a Sleeping Bag, Pillow, towel, toiletries, camera, Bible, daypack, camp chair. *If you need any of these, just let us know. ATTIRE: Light rain coat, 2 pairs of shoes in case one gets wet, shorts – it is sure to be warm, modest swimsuit if you want to go in the ocean or lake. BATHROOMS: Yes ladies, we have warm showers! Woohoo! CARPOOLING: Best to coordinate ahead of time when you are going. You can post on FB event wall for others to see, or wait till the week of when we'll send out an email to all those on the roster. Most people just leave cars at peoples houses. ADDRESS: Gulf Shores State Park – 20249 Highway 135 Gulf Shores, AL 36542 KEEP IN MIND: that there are always dangerous elements when out in nature: Cliffs, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Trails may be un-maintained, slippery, icy, rocky and have steep embankments. Shoes may get muddy or wet. When hiking, many times the woods are your only bathroom.
