THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT! Are you looking for exhilaration or relaxation? We have both!!! Make sure to join us on this 3 or 4 day adventure to the jaw-dropping Tennessee mountains! This will be a trip forever remembered by its unique excursions! You can customize this exciting weekend however you want! How would you like to go into a cave and take a boat ride on an underground lake? Or how about an exhilarating whitewater rafting trip with new and old friends? How about the opportunity to kayak or sit at the lake all weekend…? If you are interested in doing hikes to gorgeous waterfalls that leave you in awe and wonder of God’s architecture, we got that too! Our campsite, is next to the beautiful lake Chilhowee so you can bring your kayak, paddleboard or floaties to enjoy some relaxing and refreshing watersports! Also, there is plenty of room so YOU CAN HAVE YOUR OWN TENT! If you’ve ever wanted a great way to meet a bunch of singles, well this is the best way. So come join us for an incredible time of fun and fellowship while soaking up the beauty of God’s amazing wonders. (WE ARE ON RAIN OR SHINE) WHEN: 4th of July weekend - July 2-5 or 3-5 SPOTS ARE LIMITED AND MAY GO QUICKLY COST: Per person (includes all camping fees, meals, snacks and drinks with the exception of Thursday, July 2nd. If you are camping with us on Thursday – it is bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverage) Fri - Sunday / $109.95 Thursday arrival Thurs -Sun additional $19 WHITEWATER RAFTING (Saturday July 4th - must be at campsite no later than 1:30pm)- 3 hour trip down the Middle Ocoee: Regular rate is $54 per person, BUT, we have a special ridiculously low rate of ONLY $35 per person!!! Rafting is optional. The Middle Ocoee has class 3 & 4 rapids. LOST SEA CAVERN (Friday, July 3rd - must be at campsite no later than 2pm): This is America’s LARGEST underground lake. The guided tour takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and is only $22!! While touring the caverns and underground lake their guides will tell of the cavern’s exciting and colorful history. Unfortunately, last minute cancellations are very difficult to refill. If needed, we will assist in attempting to refill your spot from a waiting list, but this is not guaranteed. If a refund is requested, we can refund by the deadline minus the paypal refund fees. HIKING LEVEL: D2-D3 Depending on trail/ moderate with occasional short steepness, hiking rain or shine. We will be driving approximately 15-20 minutes from campground to reach each trailhead. For Friday folks, you can arrive anytime you wish, but if you want to catch our morning hike, you'll have to arrive to the campsite before 9:30am. ALL MEALS, DRINKS & SNACKS (included in your cost- menu subject to change): Thursday • Self-sustained – bring your own food, snacks and drinks Friday • Lunch-Sandwich meat with all the fix'ins • Dinner- design your own Burritos. Saturday • Breakfast- Bacon and Eggs • Lunch-Sandwich meat with all the fix'ins, snacks • Dinner- Spaghetti and salad. Sunday • Breakfast-Cereal AGENDA: Hiking to remarkable scenery each day, facilitated connecting, campfire worship music, roasting marshmallows, challenging devotional, watching the sunset, Whitewater Rafting, underground lake boat ride, and much relaxation with new and old friends. TEMPS: Day 90-70, Night 60-70 GEAR TO BRING: Sleeping Bag, Pad, Pillow, towel, toiletries, camera, Bible, flashlight, daypack, camp chair. *If you need any of these, just let us know. ATTIRE: Warm Jacket, Rain coat, 2 pairs of shoes in case one gets wet, shorts and long pants and modest a swimsuit. WHAT NOT TO BRING: Children, pets or alcohol TENTS: Plenty of space for you to bring your own or we will have some large tents set up for those who need a spot in one. BATHROOMS: Yes ladies, we have warm showers! Woohoo! CARPOOLING: Best to coordinate ahead of time when you are going. You can post on FB event wall for others to see, or wait till the week of when we’ll send out an email to all those on the roster. Most people just leave cars at peoples houses. ADDRESS: Chilhowee Campground - Oswald Dome Rd (some maps say Benton, Tenn others say Reliance, Tenn) Some GPS's list the campground as "Chilhowee Recreation Area." We are in the group site past the overflow camping. KEEP IN MIND: that there are always dangerous elements when out in nature: Water hazards, Cliffs, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, snakes, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Poison Oak, Poison Sumac, and other poison plants, etc. Trails may be un-maintained, slippery, icy, rocky and have steep embankments. Shoes may get muddy or wet. When hiking, many times the woods are your only bathroom. WAIVER: By attending, each person assumes all responsibility and liability for themselves and their actions and hereby releases Echo Ministries, its employees, directors, officers, agents, and volunteers from any and all liability resulting from any loss, injury, illness, damages, or death, while attending, participating or volunteering in this event. If you make payment for someone else, make sure that they receive this information and they understand and agree to all aspects of it, otherwise you’re responsible for them.
