Then let’s start the Spring with a blockbuster camping experience into God's great outdoors that will rejuvenate our souls! DESTINATION: We will be venturing into the mountains of South Carolina. Oconee County and the surrounding areas are home to some of the most breathtaking and dynamic waterfalls in the US. Gorgeous rocky creeks, lush and pristine forests and gigantic waterfalls makes this a treasure-trove of scenic discovery! NEW TO ECHO: Now if you are thinking, “I really don’t know anyone and this could be awkward”, I promise you we will welcome you with open arms, and you will leave the weekend knowing everyone and feeling blessed. So come join us for an incredible time of fun and fellowship while soaking up God’s amazing wonders. REFUNDS: Reservations are Non-refundable after Friday, March 13th. Unfortunately, last minute cancellations have been very hard to refill. After that date payment exchange must be done personally with those who'll take your place. SPOTS ARE LIMITED (So please sign up early) HIKING LEVEL- D2-D4. TEMPS: Day 55-70, Night 45-60 ATTIRE: Cooler weather clothes, Jacket/coat/gloves/warm hat and long johns, rain-coat, 2 pairs of shoes in case one gets wet. WHAT TO BRING: Sleeping Bag, Pad (no bigger than twin), extra blanket, Pillow, Flashlight, Jacket, rain-coat, daypack, towel, toiletries, camera, Bible. Optional things: Hiking poles, Camp chair, Bug spray. If you need any of these, just let us know. TENT INFO: You may bring your own tent if you wish. We also have large tents to accommodate others. BATHROOMS: Showers and running water. WOOHOO!!! AGENDA: Hiking to remarkable scenery, and to unknown remote waterfalls each day, facilitated connecting, campfire worship music, roasting marshmallows, challenging devotional, and much relaxation and hanging out. FOOD MENU: (subject of some change) • Friday: Lunch Sandwiches with all the fix’ins and snacks. Dinner Chili mac and salad. • Saturday: Breakfast, Egg and bacon wraps, grits. Lunch- Sandwiches with all the fix’ins and snacks. Dinner- Burrito’s with all the fix'ins, beans and rice. • Sunday: Breakfast- Assortment of Cereals and fruit. We will also provide coffee, hot chocolate, Juice, soft drinks, fruit, chips and cookies. Possible alternatives to meet and leave cars. • ALPHARETTA- Calvary Chapel 200 James Rd Alpharetta • BUFORD- Park & Ride on Hwy 20 and I-985 FUEL COSTS: if you are a rider, please share fuel costs with the driver. ARRIVAL SATURDAY: If you plan on hiking with us on Saturday morning, make sure to arrive by 9:30am. KEEP IN MIND: that there are always dangerous elements when out in nature: Waterfalls, cliffs, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Trails may be un-maintained, slippery, icy, rocky and have steep embankments. Shoes may get muddy or wet. Many times the woods are your only bathroom. WAIVER: By attending, each person assumes all responsibility and liability for themselves and their actions and hereby releases Echo Ministries, its employees, directors, officers, agents, and volunteers from any and all liability resulting from any loss, injury, illness, damages, or death, while attending, participating or volunteering in this event. If you make payment for someone else, make sure that they receive this information and they understand and agree to all aspects of it, otherwise you’re responsible for them.
