Hey Singles, how would you like to see and experience several blockbuster waterfalls that only a handful of people have seen? Sure you do! Then, if you don't mind getting a little muddy, with a little bit of an obstacle course, then this hike is sure to deliver amazing rewards! So join us for a day of awe-inspiring scenery, good exercise, fun and great fellowship as we get out and explore God’s incredible creation. HIKE DIFFICULTY D3+ with agility (some off trail with steep embankments) – 1 hike (4.5 miles total) For your sake and the sake of the group, please do not assume beyond your ability. Hike difficulty rating scale D1 Easy (beginner hikers) flat terrain D2 Easy to moderate (regular hikers) some hills D3 Moderate (a cardio workout) very hilly D4 Moderate to strenuous (challenging workout) steep inclines, moderate distance D5 Strenuous (serious physical challenge) Steep inclines and long distance ROAD & TRAIL DESCRIPTIONS: You can carpool at our final meetpoint if you baby your vehicle or have low clearance. You will get a cardio workout on the hills, some places have no trails and we'll be doing some ducking and climbing over downed trees. TIME: 1:45pm to 6:30pm (ish) Back to Walmart Dinner thereafter. DINNER: Afterwards 6:30ish PREPARE!!! WHAT TO BRING: Dress in layers. Warm Coat, Hat and Gloves, Longjohns, rain gear, camera, water, Lunch/snacks, Day-pack to carry your stuff. It may be a good idea to bring a headlamp, just in case. SHOES WITH GOOD TREAD ARE A MUST! Or you will be on your butt a lot. PLEASE NOTE: This is a single adult event. CARPOOL MEETPOINTS: Please arrive ready to go with stomachs filled, cars gased, and bladders empty. ***Carpooling is encouraged, but not required. These are set up as a convenience, therefore we do not know who will be at each location. • DAWSONVILLE: Meet at Publix off 400 towards Chili’s. Park in outer lot away from building, straight out from entrance. Meet at 12:35pm Leave at 12:40pm sharp. • GWINNETT: Meet in the outer parking lot of Dollar Tree, next to Walmart, Hwy 20 just east of 985. 1935 Buford Mill Drive. Look for people in cars. Time 12:45pm leave 12:50pm sharp. MEET & GREET: 10:00am Walmart in Cornelia. Meet outer parking lot near Chic-fi-la. KEEP IN MIND: that there are always dangerous and unforeseen elements when out in nature: Cliffs, water hazards, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Roads conditions may be very curvy, bumpy, gravel and muddy. Trails may be un-maintained, slippery, icy, rocky and have steep embankments. Shoes and clothing may get muddy or wet. The woods are your bathroom.
