Echo Light Hike to Jones Bridge Park in Alpharetta!

Calling all singles in the Atlanta area… this hike is for you! November's Light Hike will be to the beautiful Jones Bridge Park of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. We'll hike along the Hooch, visit the ruins of the original Jones Bridge, view the old growth forest and have great fellowship. There are restrooms but also a parking fee. First, we will gather for a brief meet and greet then get to know each other more as we walk along the trail. About halfway through the hike, we will stop for a short devotional and time of prayer. This is the perfect event for new people, so bring a friend! If this is your first Echo event, you will leave feeling happy and refreshed. We will introduce you to many other Christian singles in your area. We can’t wait to meet you and talk with you along this beautiful trail! Date: November 9th 2019 Time: 9:30am - 12:00pm SECIAL NOTE: Do not go to Jones Bridge Park in Gwinnett County. We will be in Fulton County. The GPS address is 9065 Barnwell Road Alpharetta, GA 30022. There is a small park sign with the name of the turnoff road Jones Bridge Unit Access Road This will be a hike with a difficulty level of D 2 with a distance of 3.3 miles. For your sake and the sake of the group, please do not assume beyond your ability. Hiking Rating Scale: D1 Easy (beginner hikers) mostly flat D2 Easy to moderate (regular hikers) some hills D3 Moderate (a cardio workout) mountainous D4 Moderate to strenuous (challenging workout) Steep grades/agility D5 Strenuous (serious physical challenge) Very steep and far WHAT TO BRING: Small Day Pack to carry your gear- rain jacket, camera, water, snacks, etc. Optional Things to Bring: Bible, Hiking Poles, First-Aid Kit, GPS. No children or animals please. Lunch will be at Jason's Deli: 7300 North Point Parkway; Alpharetta, GA 30022 around noon. KEEP IN MIND: There are always dangerous and unforeseen elements when out in nature: Cliffs, water hazards, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Trails may be un-maintained, slippery, rocky, icy and have steep embankments. Shoes and clothing may get muddy or wet. The woods are your bathroom.
