We will be going into the Carolinas to be one of the first to stay at a brand new retreat in Keowee Toxaway State Park. Amazingly, you will have your choice of either staying in a climate controlled bunkhouse or staying outside in your tent to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. GEAR TO BRING: Your own linens or a Sleeping Bag, Pillow, towel, toiletries, camera, Bible, daypack, camp chair. *If you need any of these, just let us know. ATTIRE: Light rain coat, 2 pairs of shoes in case one gets wet, shorts – it is sure to be warm, modest swimsuit if you want to go in. BATHROOMS: Yes ladies, we have warm showers! Woohoo! CARPOOLING: Best to coordinate ahead of time when you are going. You can post on FB event wall for others to see, or wait till the week of when we'll send out an email to all those on the roster. KEEP IN MIND: that there are always dangerous elements when out in nature: Cliffs, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Trails may be un-maintained, slippery, icy, rocky and have steep embankments. Shoes may get muddy or wet. When hiking, many times the woods are your only bathroom.
