HIKING LEVEL: D2-D3 Depending on trail/ Moderate with occasional Steep inclines. Hiking rain or shine. FOOD (included in your cost): Subject to change. Friday • Lunch-Sandwich meat with all the fix'ins • Dinner- design your own Burritos, snacks. Saturday • Breakfast- TBD • Lunch-Sandwich meat with all the fix'ins, snacks • Dinner- Spaghetti and salad. Sunday • Breakfast-Cereal AGENDA: Hiking to remarkable scenery each day or relaxing by the lake, kayaking/ canoeing (supplied for no additional cost), floating on a tube, paddle board (bring your own), beach volleyball, cornhole tournament, facilitated connecting, worship music, challenging devotional, playing cards or board games. GEAR TO BRING: Your own linens or a Sleeping Bag, Pillow, towel, toiletries, camera, Bible, daypack, camp chair. *If you need any of these, just let us know. ATTIRE: Light rain coat, 2 pairs of shoes in case one gets wet, shorts – it is sure to be warm, modest swimsuit if you want to go in. BATHROOMS: Yes ladies, we have warm showers! Woohoo! CARPOOLING: Best to coordinate ahead of time about when you are going. You can post on FB event wall for others to see, or wait till the week of when we'll send out an email to all those on the roster. Most people just leave cars at peoples houses. IMPORTANT: (Please do not arrive past 9:30pm) The earlier you leave on Friday the better in order to see the amazing views driving along the parkway and to avoid the traffic. TRAVEL TIME from Alpharetta: approx 3 and a half hours (without Friday traffic) (Absolutely no arriving past 9:30pm. The gate will be locked!) Best if you leave no later than 5:00pm on Friday. If arriving Saturday Morning, you’ll need to leave before 6:00am (EST) if you wish to hike with us at 9:30am (CST). When turning on the road, it will look like a residential neighborhood. KEEP IN MIND: that there are always dangerous elements when out in nature: Cliffs, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Trails may be un-maintained, slippery, icy, rocky and have steep embankments. Shoes may get muddy or wet. When hiking, many times the woods are your only bathroom. WAIVER: By attending, each person assumes all responsibility and liability for themselves and their actions and hereby releases Echo Ministries, its employees, directors, officers, agents, and volunteers from any and all liability resulting from any loss, injury, illness, damages, or death, while attending, participating or volunteering in this event.
