Hey Singles, are you looking for a place to go on the 4th of July, but don't want to fight the crowds or bake in the sun? Well, look no further! Come join us in the mountains for a beautiful day of hiking to waterfalls! After an amazing day in God’s beautiful outdoors, we will enjoy some fireworks over the Alpine town of Helen, GA. For those who do not want to hike and would rather spend the day in Helen, please comment below or email williamillg@echoministries.com. We want to be sure to find you after our hike!!! All Echo events are non-alcoholic. TIME: 3pm – 9:30pm. Dinner approximately 6:15’ish. ADDRESS: Meet-point is the Ingles in Cleveland, 55 Helen Hwy Cleveland, GA 30528 This will be multiple trails with a difficulty level of D2/D2+ with a distance of 3 miles with small creek crossing. Hiking Rating Scale: D1 Easy (beginner hikers) mostly flat D2 Easy to moderate (regular hikers) some hills D3 Moderate (a cardio workout) mountainous D4 Moderate to strenuous (challenging workout) Steep grades/agility D5 Strenuous (serious physical challenge) Very steep and far WHAT TO BRING: Small Day Pack to carry your gear - rain jacket, sunblock, camera, water, extra pair of shoes (you will be crossing a six-inch creek). Optional Things to Bring: Bible, Hiking Poles, Change of clothes. FOOD: After the hike, dinner at El Campasino in Cleveland, GA. Address: 17 Campbell St, Cleveland, GA 30528 (across the street from Burger King) – approximately 6:15’ish. AFTER DINNER: We will be parking at a remote spot near Helen just over a mile from town. So, we will be walking there and back (it is an easy walk). Please bring a headlamp/flashlight for the hike back! Make sure to bring a camping chair that you will have to carry or you can stand or sit on the ground. KEEP IN MIND: There are always dangerous and unforeseen elements when out in nature: Cliffs, water hazards, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Trails may be un-maintained, slippery, rocky, icy and have steep embankments. Shoes and clothing may get muddy or wet. The woods are your bathroom. WAIVER: By attending, each person assumes all responsibility and liability for themselves and their actions and hereby releases Echo Ministries, its employees, directors, officers, agents, and volunteers from any and all liability resulting from any loss, injury, illness, damages, or death, while attending, participating or volunteering in this event.
