Due to increased chance of thunderstorms, We have decided to CANCEL the light hike. Our top priority is always to keep those attending our events safe!! Please join us for next month's light hike. May's Light Hike will be to the beautiful Miller Lake Trail in Gwinnett County's Little Mulberry Park. This trail is a favorite among locals in Gwinnett County. We'll hike around the lake and take a short jaunt up the Carriage Trail for a total of about 3 miles. It will be as level a hike as we can find in North Georgia, so make sure to grab a friend and join us!! Parking is free and plentiful. If this is your first Echo event, you will be greeted with open arms. It will be easy to locate our group because there will be lots of people. This is a great way to meet singles in your neighborhood! We can’t wait to meet you and get you connected!!! This will be a hike with a difficulty level of D2 and a distance of 3 miles For your sake and the sake of the group, please do not assume beyond your ability. Hiking Rating Scale: D1 Easy (beginner hikers) mostly flat D2 Easy to moderate (regular hikers) some hills D3 Moderate (a cardio workout) mountainous D4 Moderate to strenuous (challenging workout) Steep grades/agility D5 Strenuous (serious physical challenge) Very steep and far The GPS address is 3900 Hog Mountain Road; Hoschton, GA 30548 WHAT TO BRING: Small Day Pack to carry your gear - rain jacket, camera, water, snacks, etc. Optional Things to Bring: Bible, Hiking Poles, First-Aid Kit, GPS. No children or animals please. LUNCH: Del Rio Mexican Grill: 1342 Auburn Road Dacula, GA 30019 CARPOOL - Meet in the parking lot of the Best Buy at the intersection of North Point Parkway and Haynes Bridge at 8:20 to depart at 8:30 am.. KEEP IN MIND: There are always dangerous and unforeseen elements when out in nature: Cliffs, water hazards, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Trails may be un-maintained, slippery, rocky, icy and have steep embankments. Shoes and clothing may get muddy or wet. The woods are your bathroom.
