Join us for one of the Chattahoochee River’s most scenic walking trails in metro Atlanta!! This hike is for all of you, Cobb County ECHO friends. So join us for a day of awe-inspiring scenery, good exercise, fun and great fellowship as we get out and explore God’s incredible creation. This will be a hike with a difficulty level of D 2 with a distance of 3 miles. Hiking Rating Scale: D1 Easy (beginner hikers) mostly flat D2 Easy to moderate (regular hikers) some hills D3 Moderate (a cardio workout) mountainous D4 Moderate to strenuous (challenging workout) Steep grades/agility D5 Strenuous (serious physical challenge) Very steep and far ADDRESS: 1425 Indian Trail NW; Sandy Springs, GA 30327 PARKING: Enter Indian Trail off Northside Drive. There is no "Park" sign on Northside Drive. The paved road will become a narrow dirt road. Please be careful. There is a $5 parking fee but worth it for the hike. Limited parking so car pool if feasible. If the parking lot is full, you will have to park along the side of the road on your way into the park. WHAT TO BRING: Small Day Pack to carry your gear- rain jacket, camera, water. Optional Things to Bring: Bible, Hiking Poles. No children or animals please. LUNCH: Jason's Deli at Cumberland Mall - 1109 Cumberland Mall, # 136; Atlanta, GA 30339 CARPOOL: Meet in the parking lot of the Best Buy at the intersection of North Point Parkway and Haynes Bridge at 8:45 to depart thereafter. We have no designated contact – just look for people in cars in the outer parking lot – straight out from the entrance. KEEP IN MIND: There are always dangerous and unforeseen elements when out in nature: Cliffs, water hazards, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Trails may be un-maintained, slippery, rocky, icy and have steep embankments. Shoes and clothing may get muddy or wet. The woods are your bathroom.
